  • Over 10,000 Laotians will learn how to use Bitcoin and USD₮ through seminars, roadshows, and online courses.

  • Bitqik Academy and Tether focus on practical blockchain skills to drive financial inclusion in Laos.

  • The program builds trust in stablecoins while showing real-world uses for digital finance and crypto adoption.

Tether and Bitqik have launched a major initiative to promote digital asset literacy across Laos. The collaboration aims to educate communities, students, and entrepreneurs about Bitcoin and stablecoins, particularly USD₮.

This program is designed to fill knowledge gaps in Laos and help more users avail and utilize the benefits of Blockchain technology. Both Tether and Bitqik have a plan to reach more than 10,000 users through online classes and physical events.

The project will be held in major urban centers such as Vientiane, Pakse, Vang Vieng, and Luang Prabang. Bitqik will develop simple-to-understand learning material. Seminars and roadshows will be carried out quarterly.

Apart from learning the usage of stablecoins such as USD₮, these events will demonstrate the functionality of blockchain technology. This will help them understand the safe usage of digital assets and make them trust the USD₮ as a safe means for digital finances.

Expanding Access Through Education

“Financial inclusion is not only achieved by access but by having a clear understanding. This collaboration with Bitqik reflects our commitment to grassroots education and to empowering communities in Laos with the knowledge and tools to participate meaningfully in the digital economy. By bridging knowledge gaps, expanding access to education, and combining real-world use cases for stablecoins, we are helping to build a more resilient, inclusive, and opportunity-driven financial future,” said Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether.

Bitqik shares this vision. “Bitqik is very pleased to collaborate with Tether, the largest company in the digital asset industry. The Bitqik Academy will organize activities to promote and educate the Lao community on blockchain technology and digital assets, including Bitcoin investment and the use of stablecoins, especially USD₮, the most widely used stablecoin in the Lao market. This collaboration will provide Lao people with greater access to digital assets through various activities throughout 2026,” said Virasack Viravong, CEO of Bitqik.

Driving Financial Literacy and Adoption

The initiative also shows how stablecoins can make finance easier and boost economic opportunities. By teaching people in Laos about digital currencies, Tether and Bitqik want to build trust and encourage people to use them in real life.

Additionally, the program will enable students and entrepreneurs to gain skills for participation in the digital economy. This will ensure that there is increased adoption of blockchain technology and stablecoins within the coming year for the country of Laos.
