Paxos asset scale increased by 450% annually, with PYUSD and PAXG as the main growth drivers

Paxos has achieved significant growth over the past year, with total assets soaring from $1.2 billion in January 2025 to $6.8 billion currently, an increase of over 450%.

According to TokenTerminal data, the PayPal stablecoin PYUSD issued by Paxos contributed over 50% of the growth, rising from approximately $500 million in January 2025 to $3.6 billion currently. Paxos’ gold token PAXG also performed strongly, benefiting from the surge in gold prices in 2025, with its market cap increasing from $500 million to $1.8 billion. PAXG rose 72% over the past year, driven by newly minted tokens and rising prices.
