Deep Tide TechFlow message: On April 07, according to Decrypt, blockchain infrastructure company Biconomy has proposed a new Ethereum standard, ERC-8211, introducing a “smart batching” mechanism that allows AI agents to complete multi-step DeFi operations within a single transaction. Each step can dynamically reference the output result from the previous step at execution time, addressing the problem of not being able to predict the output amount due to price fluctuations or changes in fees.

The standard runs on top of existing Ethereum infrastructure, without requiring modifications to the core protocol or a hard fork. Developers can directly implement complex transaction workflows using TypeScript. Barnabé Monnot, a research scientist at the Ethereum Foundation, said ERC-8211 is aligned with the Foundation’s strategic priority of “improving user experience.”
