Trump Says Iran Has Been "Completely Defeated," Hopes to End Conflict Through Negotiations

GateNews

Gate News Report, March 25 — According to CCTV News, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a statement from the White House regarding the U.S.-Iran conflict, claiming that the U.S. has “achieved victory” in its actions against Iran and that Iran has been “completely defeated.” Trump stated that the current situation is not a “stalemate conflict,” but that Iran has been “militarily weakened” across the board. He pointed out that Iran “lacks a navy, an air force, and effective defensive capabilities,” and that the U.S. holds an absolute advantage in related operations. He also criticized some media outlets for describing the situation as a “stalemate,” saying this “does not reflect the facts.” Trump further stated that the U.S. has the capability to strike Iran’s key infrastructure again but emphasized a desire to end the conflict through negotiations to avoid further losses, saying “this conflict can be ended,” though he did not make a definitive judgment on the final agreement. Regarding nuclear issues, Trump reaffirmed that Iran “will not possess nuclear weapons” and said that U.S. military actions have “destroyed its nuclear capabilities.” He claimed that if the U.S. had not withdrawn from the Iran nuclear deal earlier, Iran might have “already obtained nuclear weapons.” He also mentioned that Iran launched missiles at the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, and other locations early in the conflict, which was “unexpected by outside observers.” Trump concluded by expressing hope to end the current “military operations” through diplomatic means, with the goal of “saving millions of lives.”
