BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF, iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), is preparing for historic growth according to MicroStrategy Chairman Michael Saylor, who believes the fund will become the largest ETF in the world within the next decade.

Michael Saylor Predicts BlackRock’s IBIT Will Be the World’s Largest ETF in Ten Years

Speaking at the Investor Day of Bitcoin Standard Corporation, Saylor confidently stated, “IBIT will be the world’s largest ETF in ten years.”

Saylor’s bold prediction came after a significant wave of capital inflows into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs, which collectively recorded a net inflow of $2.8 billion over the last five trading sessions.

IBIT alone accounted for $1.3 billion of this total, helping the price of Bitcoin rise from approximately $85,000 to $94,000 in less than a week.

The fund currently has a market value of $54 billion and daily trading volume exceeded $1.5 billion on Thursday.

If we need to make a comparison, the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF, which is currently the world’s largest ETF with a market value of $593.5 billion, is more than ten times that of IBIT. Nevertheless, industry experts say that Saylor’s vision, while ambitious, is not entirely unattainable.

Eric Balchunas, a Senior ETF Analyst at Bloomberg, stated that “This is possible especially if IBIT starts receiving more cash than VOO, but this requires inflows well above 1 billion dollars a day.”

It is more likely to be in the range of 3 to 4 billion dollars daily to gain ground. In short, some extraordinary things will need to happen, but it is possible.
