Liên minh 12 ngân hàng lớn châu Âu trong sáng kiến Qivalis đang đẩy nhanh kế hoạch phát hành stablecoin neo 1:1 theo đồng euro, với mục tiêu ra mắt thương mại vào nửa cuối năm 2026.
Liên minh quy tụ nhiều định chế tài chính hàng đầu như BNP Paribas, ING, UniCredit, BBVA cùng các ngân hàng lớn khác tại Bắc Âu và Trung Âu. Đây được xem là một trong những nỗ lực phối hợp quy mô lớn nhất của khu vực tư nhân châu Âu nhằm cạnh tranh với sự thống trị của stablecoin neo theo USD.
Theo kế hoạch, token sẽ được bảo chứng đầy đủ, với tối thiểu 40% dự trữ là tiền gửi ngân hàng và phần còn lại đầu tư vào trái phiếu chính phủ khu vực đồng euro ngắn hạn, xếp hạng tín nhiệm cao. Cấu trúc này nhằm giảm rủi ro tập trung, đồng thời đảm bảo khả năng quy đổi 24/7 cho người nắm giữ.
Qivalis đặt mục tiêu xây dựng một giải pháp stablecoin tuân thủ khung pháp lý MiCA của Liên minh châu Âu, hướng tới các ứng dụng như thanh toán doanh nghiệp xuyên biên giới theo thời gian thực. Trong bối cảnh hơn 95% nguồn cung stablecoin toàn cầu hiện neo theo USD, các ngân hàng châu Âu kỳ vọng sản phẩm mới sẽ mở rộng vai trò của đồng euro trong hệ sinh thái tài sản số và thương mại số toàn cầu.
