I’m leaving @NEARProtocol
After building @DeFiShardsxyz here for a while, i’ve started to notice a pattern:
The foundation doesn’t care if your app survives or dies. It’s all a race against time
On paper, it’s all beautiful as we have intents, chain abstraction, agentic marketplace and privacy embedded
Everyone here is talking about onboarding the next billion users
but right now it’s mostly,
- builders using each others products
- funded by each others grants
- tweeting at each others metrics
Transactions worth billions of dollars have been processed but the mentality of the users are still

For most projects:
NFTs are just pretty pictures
For @DeFiShardsxyz:
Art that contains productive assets
Art that routes value flows
Art that accrues, not just appreciates

memecoins embrace their lack of utility as a badge of honor.
