The U.S. side states that the rescued American pilot has been taken to Kuwait.
Golden Finance News reports that on April 5, according to the U.S., the second pilot on the U.S. Air Force F-15E fighter that was shot down earlier has been sent to Kuwait for treatment. During the process of rescuing this pilot, the U.S. military destroyed two U.S. military transport aircraft that were conducting rescue missions. The report says the pilot searched for more than 24 hours in mountainous areas to evade Iran, and his personal weapon was only a pistol. The U.S. mobilized several hundred special operations personnel to carry out this rescue; during the operation, there was an exchange of gunfire with Iranian forces. The report says that two U.S. transport aircraft encountered a malfunction and “were stuck” while carrying out a mission to rescue the pilot in Iran. The U.S. then sent three new aircraft to continue the rescue mission and destroyed the two malfunctioning transport aircraft. Also, according to a report from Iran on April 5, the public relations department of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said that a U.S. aircraft searching for the missing pilot was shot down in Isfahan Province. Other reports from Iran say that a U.S. C-130 transport aircraft was shot down on the 5th. (CCTV News)
