U.S. media: The U.S. privately indicates that reaching an agreement with Iran will take time, or another 2-4 weeks of fighting.
According to a report by Jinse Finance on March 30, CBS reported that the White House privately informed allies that a diplomatic agreement between the United States and Iran will take time, according to two sources familiar with the situation. They also added that the United States estimates that the intense actions of the war itself will last an additional two to four weeks. Sources close to Iranian officials indicated that Tehran believes diplomatic negotiations will require time. These sources stated that Iran remains skeptical about the United States’ potential interest in reaching an agreement, and Tehran thinks that high energy prices provide favorable conditions for Iran. The two sources also mentioned that Iran is skeptical about the joint timeline between the United States and Israel regarding ending the fighting. The Israel Defense Forces had previously stated that they expect the fighting to continue until Passover (the first week of April). (Jinshi)
