Claude now supports remote control of user computers on macOS systems, executing desktop tasks such as opening applications and filling out forms. This feature launched as a research preview, allowing users to initiate instructions and have Claude autonomously complete tasks, now available to Pro and Max subscribers.

Deep Tide TechFlow News, March 24 — According to official sources, Claude now supports controlling the user’s computer to complete tasks, including opening applications, browsing the web, filling out forms, and other desktop operations.

This feature is currently available as a research preview in Claude Cowork and Claude Code, and only supports macOS systems.

Claude will prioritize calling connected third-party applications (such as Slack, Calendar, etc.). When no corresponding connector is available, it will request user authorization before directly controlling applications on the screen.

Users can initiate task commands from their mobile devices. After leaving, Claude will autonomously complete the tasks, and users can also set up periodic tasks, such as scanning emails daily or generating reports every Friday. This feature is currently available to Pro and Max subscription users.
