According to Batchelor, this situation may be one of the primary reasons for Bitcoin's rapid price movement toward these levels in a short time. The analyst stated that volatility models are currently at low levels and that this points to short-term price movements known as "stop hunting" rather than a strong uptrend. For this reason, Batchelor expressed that the current movement could be a spike created by forced short position closures rather than the beginning of a sustained breakthrough toward $80,000.
