BlockBeats News, on December 22, KobeissiLetter released data showing that the current rise in the U.S. stock market is historic, with the proportion of stocks owned by American households exceeding that of real estate for the third time in the past 65 years. Meanwhile, the proportion of corporate stocks and mutual funds in net assets rose to about 31% in the second quarter of 2025, reaching a record high. This ratio has more than doubled since 2008. In contrast, the peak during the 2000 internet bubble was about 25%. At the same time, the proportion of American household real estate assets in total net assets fell below 30% in the second quarter for the first time since 2021, far below the 38% peak recorded before the 2006 real estate bubble burst.
