Jin10 reported on October 27 that U.S. President Trump stated he does not expect to meet with Canadian officials “for the time being,” as he continues to be frustrated by television advertisements criticizing his tariff system in Ontario. Trump was asked about the possibility of meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Carney, who will also attend the APEC summit in South Korea later this week. Trump said on Monday: “I don’t want to meet with him. I won’t meet with them for the time being. I am very satisfied with the agreement we have with Canada now. We’ll see how it goes.” When asked when additional tariffs would take effect, Trump said he did not know. “We'll see.”
