Ripple said it will issue a stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar at a 1:1 ratio on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum this year.
The stablecoin will be backed by "U.S. dollar deposits, short-term U.S. government treasury bonds, and other cash equivalents" and will be audited by a "third-party accounting firm."
