Foresight News 消息，ENS 创始人 nick.eth 宣布，ENSv2 将直接在以太坊主网上部署，并停止其专有 Layer2 网络 Namechain 的开发。该决定源于以太坊 L1 扩展速度超出预期，在 2025 年 Fusaka 升级将 Gas 上限提升至 6,000 万后，ENS 注册 Gas 成本在过去一年内降低了 99%，平均注册费用已降至 0.05 美元以下。nick.eth 表示，尽管停止开发 Namechain，但 ENSv2 的路线图保持不变，用户仍将体验到单步注册、支持跨链稳定币支付以及全新的注册表设计等功能。ENS 团队认为，留在 L1 可以消除 L2 带来的额外信任假设，并利用以太坊最强的基础设施保障。目前，全新的 ENS App 和 ENS Explorer 已开启公开 Alpha 测试。
