Looking at the @Gate_zh 13th anniversary poster, my thoughts instantly flashed back to 2013.

At that time there was no Web3, only the crazy electronic trading of stamps, coins, and cards. I was arbitraging between Beijing Fuliete and Nanjing Cultural Exchange, and made a little money 🤪
In 2015 the regulatory iron fist came down, and the small card Larame Cultural Exchange where I had my position directly took the money and ran. It completely scrambled my brain.
That serious setback made me timid for several years. I kept holding onto my exchange account registered in 2014, because fear made me perfectly miss BTC's early explosion.
If I had chosen the right platform back then, the outcome might have been different. But it was precisely that experience of going to zero that made me place greater emphasis on platform security and compliance.
Gate has persevered through 13 years, always staying in the front lines—that is the greatest success! Some platforms became fleeting clouds, while others became part of our crypto lives.
