#Content Mining ScamSniffer, a blockchain security service, first pointed out in an article on X that a cryptocurrency giant allegedly lost more than $32 million worth of Spark Wrapped Ether after signing a malicious transaction. According to blockchain intelligence company Arkham, the malicious transaction was supported by Inferno Drainer, a fraud-as-a-service provider. Reportedly, Inferno's operator takes a 20% commission from the stolen tokens. Despite being shut down by its developers in November 2023, the service was reactivated in May of this year. The scam service claims to support 28 different blockchains and hundreds of different decentralized finance applications.
