The monthly monetary policy meeting of the Federal Reserve (Fed), the central bank of the United States, ends this Wednesday (1st).
The Fed is expected to hold interest rates steady at their highest level in 22 years. This would be the second consecutive meeting in which the U.S. central bank has kept rates unchanged.
But that doesn't mean the Fed has stopped raising rates. Chairman Jerome Powell has made it clear that the U.S. central bank wants to keep the option of another hike if data shows that the decline in inflation has stalled.
"Given the uncertainties and the risks, and how far we've come, the committee is going to proceed carefully," Powell said in September in New York City
