Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Middle East situation is close to losing control, calls on all parties to cease fighting and promote peace
On April 7th, local time, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ansaari stated that the current situation in the Middle East has approached a critical point of losing control. Ansaari said at the routine press conference held by the Foreign Ministry that the long-term hostile actions of relevant countries do not serve the fundamental interests of any party, and if the conflict continues to escalate, there will be no winners. He stated that the window of opportunity for resolving the conflict through diplomatic means is shrinking and called on all parties to cease any actions that escalate the situation. Ansaari also said that Qatar supports Pakistan-led mediation efforts but has not yet participated in the relevant process. He emphasized that any attacks on civilian and energy infrastructure are unacceptable. He also pointed out that the Strait of Hormuz is an international waterway, and all regional countries have the right to free passage. (CCTV News)
