Coinbase CEO apologizes for frequent prediction market notifications: the issue is being fixed
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong responded on the X platform to the frequent notifications for prediction markets, stating that the issue with the notifications stemmed from a system glitch and apologized to users, indicating that a fix is underway. He also promised to strike a balance between content notifications and user experience. Coinbase users have expressed dissatisfaction with the platform’s frequent notifications for prediction markets, with related feedback focusing on descriptions such as “annoying” and “unreasonable.” Several users reported receiving a large number of notifications related to prediction markets during the NCAA “March Madness” basketball tournament, with some users questioning whether this behavior indicates a shift of the cryptocurrency trading platform toward sports betting and raising concerns about the platform’s fund management and risk control. Currently, the prediction market business still faces regulatory pressure in the United States, as regulatory agencies in multiple states have filed lawsuits against related platforms, while the Commodity Futures Trading Commission is pushing for regulatory authority in this area.
