In a team, when a real problem occurs, the calmest and smartest person will be the first to leave. When the calm and intelligent person departs, they won't attack anyone. Therefore, no one notices that the team is having issues. The more quietly and peacefully the calmest person leaves, the bigger the problem. Conversely, when someone is making a fuss and insisting on leaving, it indicates that the problem isn't serious, because they still find the team worth staying for and are reluctant to leave.
