Techub News reports that P2P.me tweeted that the team admitted to having placed a bet on Polymarket through an account named “P2P Team” regarding whether the project would achieve its $6 million fundraising goal. This position was established 10 days before the fundraising began, at which time the project had only received a verbal commitment of $3 million from Multicoin Capital. Ultimately, the project raised a total of $5.2 million.

P2P.me stated that failing to disclose this action at the time was a mistake, and they are currently liquidating all related positions, with the proceeds to be returned to the MetaDAO treasury governed by Futarchy. Additionally, the team emphasized that MetaDAO was not aware of this betting action and will develop policies regarding prediction market trading.
