After studying English for a few months in Kuala Lumpur,

I finally realized that
all the problems encountered in learning are actually just vocabulary issues.
This month, I took a course at a language institute in Kuala Lumpur called
"English File Intermediate Plus,"
· Corresponds to CEFR B1+ level
· Approximately 5.0–5.5 band in IELTS
Before leaving for a trip to Bangkok,
I had completed 50% of this textbook,
and then I took the exam.
My only reflection after the test is:
All problems ultimately come down to vocabulary.
😑 I’ve been out for so long,
and I’ve never opened a vocabulary book or a word app,
not memorizing words really isn’t okay.
Thinking back to a chat I had last year with a teacher from a certain Eastern country,
he said if you only want to score 5–6 in IELTS,
mastering high school core vocabulary is enough.
A few days ago, I was flipping through the "IELTS Basic 5.0" textbook at the institute,
and it’s really full of very basic words,
most of which I can read aloud,
but the meanings are completely I don't know…
