You cannot deface Indonesian Rupiah banknotes because it violates the law and risks severe penalties.
Penalties:
• Maximum imprisonment of 5 years and fines up to Rp1 billion based on Article 35 of Law No. 7 of 2011 concerning Currency.
• This action is considered disrespectful to state symbols such as the Garuda and images of national heroes on banknotes.
