# One of the Greatest Scams in Crypto History: Fil

Yesterday a buddy told me to short Fil and said it would go to zero. I looked and found this thing has already crashed below $1, I don't want to touch it at that price.

From over $200 down to $0.8-0.9, that's a drop of over 99.5%, truly one of the biggest scam projects in history.

I have a friend who's holding several hundred thousand Fil, one of the earliest Fil miners and cloud mining operators. Last year when it surged above $8, he said if Fil hits $100 he'd be financially free. Now I'm too embarrassed to even ask him about it.

I switched from 20 [units/coins] two years ago to 1.5 [units/coins] now, so I decisively changed direction. It was complete garbage.

I know someone who kept adding to their FIL position at $20, $10, and $5, feeling thrilled about picking up cheap chips. They said it would definitely bounce back above $50 and they'd sell then. They invested around 500,000+ RMB in total, and now reportedly barely has anything left—what a tragedy. There's an even more ridiculous case where someone bought in at over $100, waiting for $1,000 to sell, but now only has enough for a bowl of egg noodles and can't even afford to add an extra egg🤣🤣

FIL's car is too heavy, too heavy, too heavy, too heavy. The dealer is not a philanthropist, but rather………

The thing I hate most is that FIL can be freely inflated—there's no fixed total supply (currently around 2 billion in total, with less than 800 million in circulation). Even if future applications are successful, the whales can still increase the supply. Therefore, the price will fluctuate around $0.4 or $0.5, allowing the whales to harvest profits regardless. Whether there's a big surge or investors get trapped with heavy positions, the countless new and old retail investors need to wake up. The whales will never pump the price just to help you break even. To move such a large amount, they would need hundreds of billions in real money, so it's impossible for them to do so.
