According to monitoring conducted by Lookonchain and reported by BlockBeats on February 19, the BitMine fund carried out a significant Ether purchase operation, acquiring a total of 35,000 ETH worth approximately US$69.37 million over one day.

Magnitude of the 24-hour operation

The accumulation strategy was executed in two main stages. Initially, 8 hours before the report, BitMine purchased 15,000 ETH (equivalent to approximately US$29.57 million) directly from the FalconX platform. Subsequently, the institution continued its aggressive acquisition operation, consolidating an additional 20,000 ETH to reach the 35,000-token mark over the 24-hour period.

Capital flow dynamics and market relevance

Large-scale purchase operations like this reflect significant institutional capital movements in the Ethereum market. The speed and volume of the acquisition suggest a deliberate accumulation strategy during this specific period. With ETH exhibiting typical volatility of crypto markets, movements of this magnitude—equivalent to tens of millions of dollars—often signal institutional actors’ confidence in the asset’s prospects.
