The reason is the company's collaboration with the U.S. military:
Monitoring Americans without judicial oversight;
Allowing AI to have autonomous lethal attack capabilities without human authorization.
Although OpenAI states that they are negotiating with the U.S. Department of Defense, not conducting domestic surveillance, and not using autonomous weapons.
