Longs bet on faith, shorts bet on structure. The market maker also understands Chan Theory and is more aware of retail traders' stop-loss levels $BTC . A drop from 90.5k to 80.9k is a strong **"departure segment"** downward move. The move from 80.9k to 84k is a standard **"breakdown and rebound confirmation"** after the **"downward line segment break"**. As long as this rebound does not make a new high (not breaking 90.5k, or even more aggressively, not breaking the upper boundary of the 86k central zone), this constitutes a **"Second Sell"** or even a **"Third Sell"** if viewed as a major central zone break. Structurally, this fully supports a bearish outlook. Going long here is indeed counter-trend, while shorting is a trend-following bulldozer.
