But because AI will empower us to accomplish more—possibly 1000 tasks a day. That sounds great, but the problems follow.
We will face an extremely high satisfaction threshold. This threshold can only be reached through continuous use of AI tools. Those who don't use AI? They will be left far behind.
Before this technology emerged, we accepted the status quo. The amount of work done each day was limited, but that was enough. Satisfaction came from reasonable expectations of our abilities.
Now it's different. AI has raised the entire playing field. Once you've experienced completing 10 times the workload with AI, you can't go back. Your brain will redefine "efficiency" and "success." This psychological adaptation may be the most genuine cost.

That really hits home... The phrase "can't go back" truly resonates. Everyone who has used AI understands that feeling of being unable to return.

To be honest, this is the real trap... The line "can't go back to the past" hit the mark.

ngl this is just the hedonic treadmill on steroids... once you've seen what 10x productivity looks like, your baseline expectations get permanently recalibrated. it's a supply chain vulnerability waiting to happen tbh

To be honest, this is the real trap. It's not substitution, but addictive involution.
Once you use AI, there's no turning back. The feeling is like having tasted something really good... Once you've experienced 10x efficiency, a 1x day feels almost crazy.
That's why it's called a dilemma. It's not a technological problem, but a human nature problem.

This is the hedonic treadmill. Going back after using AI is simply torture.
We may have fallen into a dilemma.
Not because AI will replace us.
But because AI will empower us to accomplish more—possibly 1000 tasks a day. That sounds great, but the problems follow.
