Ukrainian authorities have officially blocked access to the prediction market platform Polymarket on the grounds of lacking gambling-related licenses. This move reflects a tightening trend in the European region's regulatory attitude towards crypto derivatives and prediction platforms. As countries increasingly enforce stricter compliance requirements for Web3 applications, the prediction market sector faces a new wave of regulatory challenges.

Here we go again, one ban after another in Europe... Polymarket has run into trouble this time
---
With the iron fist of regulation coming down, is there still a way out for prediction markets?
---
So, this is why decentralization needs to be thorough... centralized platforms will be taken down sooner or later
---
Ukraine has already taken action, and in less than two months, other countries will follow suit
---
Polymarket should either go fully decentralized on-chain or be finished
---
Laughing out loud, just one license issue can lead to a complete ban... this is the current state of crypto
---
It's been obvious for a while that the prediction market route is dead in Europe
---
The real question is, are there good alternatives? Feels like they’re all pretty similar

Here we go again with bans, Europe is really playing hard with this hand
Polymarket really got hit this time, it should have been shut down earlier
Regulations are getting stricter, is there still a future for prediction markets...
Europeans always want to regulate, but instead they stifle innovation
Uh, I just wanted to play around on it, but then a national-level big move directly broke it
I totally don’t understand this move, is the prediction market really that scary?
Basically, they’re just afraid of losing control. Anyway, as ordinary people, our buying and selling rights are just like that

Ukraine is back at it, now Polymarket is also caught in the crossfire. European regulation is really getting tougher.
But to be fair, banning without a license... this logic does hold up. Web3 needs to learn to coexist peacefully with regulation.
It seems the path of prediction markets needs to be paved again, and compliance must be prioritized.
With the regulatory wave coming, small platforms will probably have an even harder time. Is this pushing everyone toward decentralization?
Another one shut down... when will there be good news?

Ukraine has already started banning, and Europe is really about to tighten the screws.

nah this is just the classic regulatory playbook—they can't compete so they ban it. ukraine's got bigger problems than polymarket tbh, feels like someone's just checking boxes. the real dark forest is watching which exchange gets the axe next lol

Banning and restricting again, Europe is becoming increasingly strict.
Polymarket has shipped to Ukraine, compliance has become a nightmare for every blockchain game.
With tighter regulations, the good days for prediction markets are coming to an end...
This wave of bans is not surprising; I had a premonition about it.
Ukraine is also stepping in to block? The prediction market track is about to change.
Compliance licenses have become another obstacle, tsk.
Everyone wants to block Web3, so annoying.
Polymarket is being banned one after another, who dares to play prediction markets next?
Now you know what a regulatory iron fist looks like.

Here we go again, Europe really wants to wipe it out completely
---
Polymarket is gone, and anyway, I won't be able to play for much longer
---
This is the reality of Web3... regulations keep coming one after another
---
Ukraine's move is a bit ruthless, and now the license game is back
---
Can prediction markets survive? I really can't understand it anymore
---
Compliance, compliance, daily compliance, and in the end, everything is gone
---
Europe is pushing DeFi to the limit, the US has a chance now
