I. SMART TRADER / PERP

1) Smart trader capitalized on a hacker to make $1M

A hacker gained access to a market maker’s account on Binance.
To move the stolen funds, the hacker used a low-liquidity token (BROCCOLI(714)) as a simple manipulation trick.
In simple terms, the sequence was as follows:
• The hacker used the MM account to buy spot, pushing the price up, while simultaneously opening a long position from another account.
• Vida, who had price alerts enabled, detected the abnormal move and followed with a long.
• When the MM account eventually ran out of funds or was frozen by Binance, bid support disappeared. Seeing the large buy wall vanish from the order book, Vida flipped to short and captured ~$1M on the first day of the new year.

2) Whale opened multiple Long positions

A wallet deposited $8M to Hyperliquid and opened the following long positions:
• 12.18M XPL ($2M)
• 1.18M IP ($2M)
• 82.61M MON ($1.9M)
• 32.41M STBL ($1.8M)
• 779.56M PUMP ($1.5M)
• 52.45M GRIFFAIN ($970K)
• 509K VVV ($847K)
• 22.86M AIXBT ($806K)
• 41.52M HEMI ($691K)
• 11.24M MAVIA ($648K)
• 42.95M STABLE ($604K)

II. BITCOIN

3) Tether withdrew BTC from exchanges

Tether withdrew an additional 8,889 BTC ($778.7M) from Bitfinex to its wallets.
Total BTC holdings now stand at 96,370 BTC ($8.46B).

III. ALT / MID CAP

4) Whale deposited PUMP to exchanges

Six months ago, this whale spent $3M to accumulate 750M PUMP.
The position is now valued at $1.47M (-51%) and has been deposited to Hyperliquid.
