The most outrageous statement heard in 2025: Bitcoin claims to be "digital gold" on one hand, and on the other hand, says it wants to replace gold.

This logic is truly incredible. If it wants to replace gold, why does it need to carry the name "gold" to boost its own reputation? Frankly, it's like a newcomer claiming to be an independent new species, while also relying on the fame of its predecessors to prove itself — isn't that just shooting itself in the foot?

Either firmly promote "I am a different asset class," or admit that it is the digital version of gold. Trying to have both is a contradiction that simply doesn't make sense.

Either become a completely independent new species, or honestly serve as a digital gold substitute.
