2025 has indeed tested our psychological resilience. The 41% plunge in the crypto market in the first half of the year caused many to give up, but I saw an opportunity instead.

Why do I say that? Simply put, I developed a very straightforward trading plan at the beginning of the year —坚持定投比特币 (stick to dollar-cost averaging Bitcoin). At a fixed time each month, the account automatically makes a purchase, rain or shine. Honestly, during those months of market crashes, I was nervous, but I never stopped my DCA. The obvious benefit of this approach is that the average holding price keeps decreasing, effectively lowering the cost basis at a cheaper price.

But just DCA isn't enough; I also incorporate the 200-day moving average to assess the market trend. This line acts like a "lifeline" for the long-term trend — when the price falls below it, it indicates weakness; conversely, breaking above and stabilizing above it signals the start of a genuine rebound. Following this logic, I gradually add to my position in the bottom area, rather than blindly going all-in.

Compared to that, friends chasing altcoins suffered more during the decline because altcoins tend to be more volatile, with sharper drops. I focused on Bitcoin, the main line, avoiding these traps.

By the second half of the year, the market started stabilizing and rebounding. My DCA account gradually surfaced, and now it has yielded quite a substantial return. Looking back, this "long-term DCA + technical indicator assistance" strategy validated the simplest principle in investing: time is your friend, and making decisions based on science is much more reliable than emotional reactions.

Dollar-cost averaging is truly the best. When it drops 41%, others are crying while I’m buying the dip. Now the profits are coming in.

Dollar-cost averaging really saves lives. I was also holding on stubbornly back then, just watching others cut losses and I would just laugh.

Dollar-cost averaging is a good strategy; mindset is really more important than technique.

Dollar-cost averaging is truly the simplest yet most effective method. If you can't get past the mindset hurdle, don't expect to make money. --- During the 41% decline, while many around me were cutting losses, I quietly added to my position. Now I feel great. --- I also use the 200-day moving average indicator; it's much more reliable than guessing randomly. --- The key is to stick with it. Most people give up after three months of DCA. The ones who truly make money are those who endure. --- What happened to those copycat friends? Are they still shouting about V-shaped rebounds? Haha. --- I've been dollar-cost averaging into Bitcoin this past half year. Although not as systematic as you, I've still made quite a bit passively. --- Still the same advice: long-term investing is the real winner in the crypto world. Short-term speculation is bound to lead to pitfalls. --- Talking about adding to positions at the bottom sounds simple, but very few have the courage and patience to do it. --- Using the 200-day moving average as a benchmark is a bit professional. I should learn from this logic. --- I used to chase altcoins. Honestly, that feeling is hard to describe. Sticking to mainstream coins through DCA is much more reliable.
