Recently, there have been several alarming investment scam cases. Someone was lured by internet users to invest in virtual currencies, transferring funds in 8 installments to a designated account starting from mid-September. The platform interface showed a profit of up to 7.9 million yuan—sounds too good to be true, right? As they reached the withdrawal stage, they were asked to pay a "exchange rate difference" of 250,000 yuan first, and then they completely lost contact. In the end, they lost 1.18 million yuan.

Even more ruthless is another case where an elderly person was induced to participate under the guise of "stock securities investment," depositing 110,000 HKD as instructed. They were also given a "sweetener," successfully withdrawing 40,000 HKD. This trick is really vicious—once they tasted the sweetness, it became harder to stay cautious. Unexpectedly, they were then asked to pay a deposit and handling fees, and ultimately, 80,000 HKD was lost in vain.

Do you see that these two cases follow the same pattern? Promising high returns → setting withdrawal barriers → continuing to scam under various fees. Before participating in any investment, always keep your eyes open.

This scheme is really clever, giving a sweet taste first and then cutting a slice, making it hard to defend against.

Oh my god, this trick is really clever. They first give you some sweet rewards to relax your guard. That's so unethical.

7.9 million in book profit and then a 250,000 fee... I can memorize this routine, cutting people is just too smooth. --- Give a little sweetness so you can taste it, then step by step squeeze you dry... These people are really something. --- Someone around me fell into it, and in the end, cried and said it was all caused by greed. It’s hard to listen to. --- Virtual currency + promises of high returns, I turn away at just a glance at this combination. It’s really not worth it. --- Daring to move the Hong Kong dollar, not all places' money is equally "profitable." --- Withdrawing gets stuck and costs a fee, this is a signal light. How can some people still not get it?

Is a 7.9 million profit on the books enough to make you unalert? I can tell this trick with my eyes closed, truly brilliant. --- Let me try to withdraw first? Ha, I still have to pay out of pocket, what kind of logic is this... --- Small gains lure big fish, cliché but effective, how come some people still fall for it. --- The term "exchange rate difference" sounds ridiculous, scammers don't even want to invent new words anymore. --- Losing 80,000 HKD in Hong Kong dollars, I just want to ask, why is no one regulating this? --- I knew from the step of transferring in 8 installments that something was going to go wrong later, an unavoidable routine. --- Basically, it's just preying on people's greed, nothing sophisticated.
