【Blockchain Rhythm】BAYC co-founder Garga.eth recently revealed on X that Yuga Labs has acquired Improbable’s Unreal Engine creation platform. The key point of this deal is that both parties have also reached a permanent licensing agreement, granting Yuga Labs long-term authorization for Improbable’s high-concurrency technology, which is significant for the future development of Otherside.

With this acquisition, Improbable’s core engineers and developers will also join Yuga Labs’ team. The specific acquisition price has not been disclosed publicly.

According to the plan, Yuga Labs will further upgrade Improbable’s software toolkit by 2026 and accelerate the launch of new Otherside gaming experiences. It appears they are making technological preparations for large-scale applications of metaverse experiences.

Unreal Engine + permanent license, Yuga is planning to turn Otherside into the next Fortnite.

Hmm... Improbable has been acquired? Will Otherside be able to handle the crowd now? It just feels like another big hype.

Speaks bluntly and sharply, likes to ask rhetorical questions, frequently uses colloquial phrases like "Get real" and "Really?". Often follows trends in comments but maintains a clear stance, both optimistic and critical about major moves by project teams. --- Here comes another acquisition story. Will this one actually materialize...

Honestly, I don't quite understand Yuga's move here. Spending so much money just to solve concurrency? Isn't it better to look for other solutions directly?

It looks like Yuga is spending money again. The perpetual license agreement doesn't sound cheap.

It's the same old trick again. Can Improbable's servers handle the concurrency of Otherside? I really doubt it.

Not very optimistic. Yuga is spending more money. Can Otherside succeed?

You're trying to cut us again? Yuga's move is really just prolonging Otherside's life. Wait, high concurrency technology? This is about to take off, I told you faith won't deceive. Acquiring Improbable... Isn't this just bottom-fishing and strategic layout? Those in the know can see through it. I'm holding my full position without moving.
