Two flagship public chains face off: Sei and Cosmos Hub. Which one comes out on top?

Based on the latest on-chain data (December 2025), let's take a look at the actual performance of these two mainstream L1s.

In terms of user activity, Sei clearly leads. The average daily active addresses reach 824,000, with a month-over-month growth rate of 93%, a truly aggressive increase. The driving force behind this growth mainly comes from the explosive rise of gaming DApps, with the on-chain gaming ecosystem already taking shape. In comparison, Cosmos Hub's user base is also substantial, but the number of daily active addresses is noticeably lower, and its growth momentum remains relatively steady.

Sei's impressive performance is attributed to its ecosystem development in the gaming sector. Its high TPS design and low latency features provide better support for on-chain gaming applications, attracting a group of game developers and players. While Cosmos Hub, as the central hub of the Cosmos ecosystem, has unique advantages in interoperability and cross-chain capabilities, it still needs to strengthen its ability to produce blockbuster applications in specific scenarios.

Whether for investors or developers, observing the development trajectories of these two chains is very insightful—one rapidly breaking into vertical applications (gaming), and the other steadily advancing in ecosystem connectivity. The market always has different demand scenarios.

SEI's gaming ecosystem has indeed taken off, with 824,000 daily active users—those numbers are quite tempting. Cosmos Hub remains the steady player, but it feels like it's been swept along.

Sei's game ecosystem is indeed top-notch. What does a 93% growth rate indicate? It simply means people are really playing, not just inflated data. Cosmos Hub is still slowly working on ecosystem coordination, haha, the style difference is too big.

Sei's 93% growth rate is indeed impressive, but can the gaming ecosystem really support it? Let's see what the future holds.

Sei's current gaming ecosystem is indeed impressive, with a 93% growth rate that has caught my eye. However, the approach of ecosystems like Cosmos Hub as a hub isn't that simple, and in the long run, it's not certain who will come out on top.

Sei's gaming ecosystem is taking off, with a 93% growth rate that’s a bit outrageous... But how long the gaming can last still depends, after all, blockchain games are just like that. Cosmos Hub is stable and steady, but it indeed lacks the feeling of a blockbuster application.
