The “Korea Fintech Week 2025” organized by the Financial Services Commission successfully concluded. This year’s event attracted over 12,000 attendees, confirming the industry’s high level of interest in the fintech sector.
The event was held over three days from November 26 to 28 at the aT Center in Yeongchang-dong, Seoul. The seventh edition of the expo was themed “Fintech × Artificial Intelligence, Adding Flavor to Finance,” with 128 companies and institutions participating, showcasing the latest fintech technologies and services. In addition to the main exhibition, 13 specialized seminars were held concurrently, providing a valuable platform for industry professionals and general visitors to exchange information.
During the expo, a corporate investment briefing session was held. Major domestic venture capital firms such as Xiaoxing Venture Capital, SBVA, and Intervest participated, reportedly evaluating investments in five companies including Softment, IOrora, Payhere, SwitchOne, and C&Tech. Industry experts noted that the event not only provided fintech startups with fundraising opportunities but also created a platform for investors to discover potential companies.
Furthermore, the Financial Services Commission selected the “Top 10 K-Fintech Companies of the Year,” focusing on emerging industry stars. Ten companies, including GradeHealthChain, which develops healthcare blockchain, and Design&Practice, a provider of specialized fintech solutions, were chosen and will receive priority policy and promotional support in the future.
A post-event survey showed high satisfaction levels among attendees. 94.2% of respondents expressed willingness to visit the next expo, reaffirming the event’s importance in the domestic fintech industry. Based on this, the authorities announced that the next edition, “Korea Fintech Week 2026,” will be held over three days starting November 25, 2026, at the same venue, the aT Center in Yeongchang.
This trend indicates that the domestic fintech industry is evolving beyond pure technology, transforming into a comprehensive ecosystem encompassing investment, policy support, and user experience. As fintech services integrating artificial intelligence are fully developed, there is considerable attention on whether this expo can grow into a platform representing the Asian fintech market in the future.
