Wu Jiezhuang: Continue to promote the development of Web3 in Hong Kong and assist the Hong Kong SAR government in developing cutting-edge future industries including embodied intelligence.
Techub News Message, Wu Jiezhang expressed his thoughts on his re-election as the eighth Legislative Council member of Hong Kong, saying, “Next, I will continue to promote the development of Hong Kong Web3 in the legislature, and also assist the Hong Kong SAR government in developing cutting-edge future industries such as embodied intelligence, quantum computing, and space technology to establish the unique position of Hong Kong as an international innovation and technology center.”
In addition, Wu Jiezhang responded to questions about the future direction of stablecoins, RWA development, and other issues. He stated, “There will be no major changes in the development of Hong Kong stablecoins, and it will continue to move forward steadily”; “RWA is currently a topic discussed more in traditional and Web3 industries. Hong Kong has already promoted a regulatory sandbox, and I believe that within the sandbox, the importance of exploring compliant development and the future direction of regulation will be emphasized. I think different industries can try to boldly incorporate Web3 technologies, which I believe can promote the development of many real-world applications.” Regarding how to respond to the rapidly increasing developer demand, Wu Jiezhang said that the Hong Kong SAR government has been working hard to promote the development of the Northern Metropolis and the Lok Ma Chau Loop Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park. Besides attracting enterprises to settle there, it can also attract talents. There are increasingly more companies setting up Web3 public chains, compliant exchanges, and underlying infrastructure in Hong Kong. The success of developers and innovation companies is closely linked, and in the future, the industry will be supported in building a talent ecosystem to attract more developers and professionals to settle in Hong Kong.
