A brilliant idea has been found: EIP-7702. This is a new EIP proposed by Vitalik in 2024 and was recently included in the Ethereum mainnet.

What is its core functionality? It allows an EOA (regular wallet address) to delegate execution logic to a contract in a durable way, and users can revoke this delegation at any time. What does this mean? A standard wallet address can essentially gain contract-level capabilities without changing the address itself.

In other words, you can have both the fish and the bear paw — keep the address the same while gaining the flexibility of a contract. This is a quite imaginative solution for improving wallet experience and optimizing interaction flows.

Amazing, someone finally explained 7702 clearly. This is what true account abstraction should do.

This is what Ethereum should look like. Finally, there's no need to choose between addresses and flexibility.

Now EOA finally has its day in the sun, no longer overshadowed by smart contracts.

It was about time there was something like this; EOA can finally use contract tricks.
