On-chain products have been competing until today, and relying only on usability is no longer enough. Only those that can truly stay will need to focus on the details.
@OstiumLabs recently did something quite interesting—it disassembled and rewrote the entire risk management process, not to showcase technology, but to make the trading environment more like a professional platform.
The new risk control layer they launched features a partitioned architecture, monitoring risk ranges for different assets independently. Metals have their own volatility models, foreign exchange has its liquidity curves, no more one-size-fits-all. This way, the fund pools won't collapse under extreme market conditions, and the trading experience becomes much more stable.
Additionally, they introduced a real-time offset correction model, which automatically adjusts the spread based on order volume and market depth. Especially in tight liquidity situations, this can prevent large slippage from one misstep.
These features may not be obvious to ordinary users, but for those involved in contracts, they are critical to determining whether they can use the platform long-term.
#Ostium's approach may seem low-key, but it has a pragmatic flavor of smoothing the road before expansion—precisely what on-chain derivatives most lack. @OstiumLabs @Bantr_fun @0xMantleCN #Ostium #Bantr
