Wake up this morning to a big surprise—SEI has actually teamed up with Xiaomi!

On one side is a Web3 Layer1 public chain, and on the other is the third-largest mobile phone manufacturer globally. What kind of sparks can these two create? This move in 2026 is indeed quite magical.

Honestly, the collaboration between blockchain and consumer electronics has not been very common. SEI is really playing big this time. Xiaomi’s scale is impressive, and their user base is no joke. If this round of operations can really be implemented, SEI might truly take off. Xiaomi's user base alone, converting just a little, is enough to sustain a year’s worth of consumption. But to be honest, collaborations like this often end in a flash of brilliance and then fade away. How many features integrated into the phone system will actually be functional? Let’s wait and see. SEI is betting on Xiaomi’s determination. If it’s just wallet integration, that would be too boring. Xiaomi’s scale is evident, and SEI is really daring to play this time. Successfully integrating the on-chain ecosystem into the phone system would be a win. If these two really collaborate, it depends on how Xiaomi understands blockchain. But it seems unlikely. The script for 2026 is truly fantastical; I never thought SEI and Xiaomi would come together.
