Polygon Foundation CEO Sandeep Nailwal recently revealed some big news—the on-chain Madhuguri hard fork has just been completed. This upgrade directly increased throughput by 40%, now reaching 1400 TPS.

But this is just the appetizer. The team has already outlined the next roadmap: within half a year, first reach 5000 TPS, which is the first small goal. The real big move is coming later—the second phase plans to take 12 to 24 months to push performance into the hundred-thousand level.

The jump from 1400 to one hundred thousand is quite significant. But looking at Polygon’s years of execution, they might really pull off some surprises.

1400 to 100,000? Come on, Polygon is always talking big, delaying every year, you can only believe it when it actually happens this time. --- A 40% increase is nothing, really waiting to see if they can deliver 5000 TPS in the second half of the year, don’t give me another PPT roadmap. --- Execution? Haha, wake up. Anyone can boast during this bull market, the key is whether real money is actually being implemented. --- Hundreds of thousands sounds impressive, but honestly, whether the network is congested mainly depends on how many ecological applications there are. --- Another hard fork and new goals, it feels like Polygon is just telling stories for the sake of storytelling. --- 1400 TPS is used by very few people now, so even if it really reaches 100,000, what’s the use if users aren’t on board? --- Not to boast or criticize, Polygon has indeed been experimenting in recent years. Let’s see if they can truly turn things around this time. --- Uh, 5000 TPS within half a year? I bet an NFT that it will be delayed until next year again.

1400 TPS to 100,000? That's quite a jump, but Polygon hasn't really dropped off the chain in these years. Wait, can they really hit 5000 in half a year? Seems a bit rushed. What sounds like a roadmap is actually just pie-in-the-sky talk, let's see how they execute it later. Why does the name Madhuguri sound a bit weird... Never mind, just need performance improvements. Reaching 100,000 TPS would truly change the game, but I'll wait and see. This is the speed we want, finally a Layer has come out.

1400 to 100,000? Polygon is really serious this time It's just PPT numbers again, let's wait another six months and see Madhuguri fork with a 40% increase, not bad this time 100,000 TPS sounds outrageous, but it would be awesome if they really pull it off The roadmap looks great, now just see if the execution can keep up No, why are they still hyping it up, can they first lower the gas fees? It feels like Polygon is about to start a new round of hype cycle again

From 1,400 to 100,000? Sounds impressive, but I'm just worried it's another PPT hero. Polygon is not just talking this time, they really need to deliver. Hard fork just completed, now they are promoting the roadmap—this routine feels a bit familiar. Going from 1,400 TPS to hundreds of thousands, how many hurdles need to be crossed in between? Can a hundred thousand level really be used? Will users actually come? If this upgrade can truly stabilize, that would be great. The more you boast, the harder you fall... Let's take a closer look before judging. Execution capability is fine, but aiming for 100,000 TPS is a bit unrealistic.
