Will they cut rates in 2026? The Federal Reserve's internal disagreement is quite significant.

The latest dot plot data is out, and the attitudes of 19 decision-makers are quite divided: 7 believe there is no need to cut at all, and they prefer to hold steady; 4 lean towards a 25 basis point cut as a gesture; another 4 think a 50 basis point cut is necessary; 2 are more aggressive, advocating for a 75 basis point cut; and one even calls for a 100 basis point cut, with the most extreme suggesting a 150 basis point reduction.

Adding it up, the median falls at 25 basis points—which sounds quite conservative. But this internal division is more worth pondering than the specific numbers. After all, each shift in monetary policy directly affects capital flows, and the crypto market naturally cannot escape the chain reaction.

The Fed folks are really arguing every day. Seven of them refusing to cut interest rates is a bit extreme. How can the crypto world keep up?

The Fed guys are really outrageous, their opinions are worlds apart. That 150 basis points guy is probably trying to end the Federal Reserve, it's hilarious.

19 people, 19 different ideas, that's what is called "consensus." Ironically, central banks are no different from DAO governance—they're just a bunch of people each saying their own thing, and in the end, the median becomes a muddled solution.

lol 19 officials can't even agree on a single basis point... this is literally the definition of systemic confusion masquerading as data. the real signal here isn't the median—it's the volatility of their positions. 150bps vs no cuts? that's not disagreement, that's a correlation matrix breakdown waiting to happen. crypto's gonna get absolutely whipsawed by whichever narrative wins the room.

It's impossible for these 19 Federal Reserve members to be on the same page, haha.

The Federal Reserve folks are really ridiculous. One cuts by 150 basis points, and the other stays put. Who can predict this accurately?
