ME news, December 10 (UTC+8), Fractal Bitcoin released the FIP-101 standardized data indexing service proposal, aiming to introduce a set of standardized data indexing services maintained by core contributors, open source, and permissionless operation for Fractal, and plans to include it in the Fractal block reward system. The proposal, drafted by the UniSat team, a core contributor to Fractal, is now in the community discussion phase.
According to the proposal, the standardized indexing service will have technical characteristics such as fully open source and permissionless operation. The service will unify the parsing methods and output structures of different protocols, covering various protocol types such as inscriptions, tokens, and custom metadata. At the incentive level, the proposal proposes to adjust the block reward distribution structure and change the output ratio of the current joint mining: free mining (1:2) to the joint mining: free mining: data index (1:1:1) triple model. At the same time, a non-custodial staking mechanism based on the Taproot script is introduced, allowing users to stake FB tokens to an indexing service instance and receive corresponding rewards.
