During the last BTC pullback, I threw 500u into this account on a certain exchange just to play around. The result? Basically wiped out. At the worst point, there was only 20u left in the account—it was painful to look at.
But recently, thanks to going long on BTC, I’ve recovered back to 100u.
I’ve set a rule for myself—my monthly contract budget is just 500u. If I lose it all, that’s it. At least this way I won’t get carried away and risk all my principal.

Oh man, this is the fate of trading contracts. It’s great when you’re making money, but really frustrating when you’re losing.
Losing 500u all at once must have been really painful. Just watching it hurts me for you.
But your monthly budget system is truly smart. Compared to those guys who go all-in, at least you can keep playing and survive.
Getting back to 100u is already good. Take it slow, brother, don’t rush.

Ha, that's just my daily life. Lost so much I don't even have my underwear left, but still have to keep playing.

This rush from recouping losses is truly addictive. The 500u principal limit is indeed a self-rescue move.

Haha, that's why I never go all in. A $500 loss is big enough for me.

Haha, that's exactly me. When I lost down to 20u, I really wanted to smash my phone.

Looking at your recovery process, it’s actually just a lack of proper risk isolation. A 500u budget sounds disciplined, but the key issue is—why did you lose 500u down to 20u in the previous round? This shows that your position management was not in place at all.

I agree with this rule-setting approach; it's much more rational than going all-in, even though it's still quite tough.

Ah, that's just fate. 500u is gone just like that. If I were you, I would have smashed my keyboard already.
The BTC price has finally climbed back up.
Unfortunately, I no longer have a position.
