I've been pondering a question for a long time: Why does innovation from all over the world ultimately end up in the US?
The answer is actually quite simple—because there's a market there that can turn an idea into a giant.
The reverse is also true: Why has the US stock market been rising for over a hundred years? Because it has continuously nurtured these companies and then harvested the dividends of their growth. Innovation and capital are, in fact, two sides of the same coin.
Many people only see the surface: "American companies are strong."
