#数字货币市场洞察 A while ago, a trader reached out to me, and his story was truly heartbreaking—he managed to turn 100,000 USDT into just 5,000U through his trades.

Looking at this situation, a thought flashed through my mind: this guy’s experience isn’t much different from the 90% of people in the market who end up losing money.

There are countless ways to lose money. Some people make dozens of trades a day, and their fees eat up their capital faster than their trades do. Some stubbornly hold onto losing positions, determined to wait for the next bull market to prove themselves right, only to see their accounts wiped out. And there are even more extreme cases—people see screenshots of others making 100x gains, get excited, go all-in, and wake up the next day to find only scraps left.

The worst part was during that period, this guy was still staring at the charts at 3 AM, his ashtray overflowing, slumped in his chair, repeatedly complaining: “The market is just slaughtering me like a pig!”

When he came to me with his remaining 5,000U, I didn’t comfort him. I cut straight to the point: “Want to make a comeback? Learn the patience of a sniper. Don’t spray like a Gatling gun.”

I set three iron rules for him:

**First rule: Trade like a sniper**
Forget about the 1-minute candles. Only watch for breakouts on the 4-hour timeframe or higher. It’s better to miss 10 opportunities than to make one wrong trade. No more than 3 trades per day; if you get the itch to trade, go for a run or hit the gym—working up a sweat is better than staring at the screen.

**Second rule: Position sizing**
Enter your first trade with a light position, no more than 10% of your total capital. Only add to your position if you’re already in profit. When your profits reach 20%, immediately take half off the table to lock in gains, and set a trailing stop for the rest. On the flip side, if you lose 5%, cut the trade—don’t dream of averaging down and making it back.

**Third rule: Stop-loss is survival**
If you hit two stop-losses in a row, shut down your computer and step away from the screen. This is to prevent emotional revenge trading. Review your trades daily—understand the reason for your losses, and make sure you fully grasp why you made money when you did.

By following this framework, his account steadily recovered. Later he asked me, “Why did no one ever tell me this before?”

I told him, 99% of losers would rather blow up their account than admit they’re just gambling. They always think if they just hold on a bit longer, or double their leverage, they’ll make it back—but they only sink deeper.

The first step to a comeback is always survival. If your capital is gone, no strategy will save you.

Discipline is the line that separates winners from losers. Look at your trading record—can you face it honestly?
