[Data: Sandwich attacks on the Ethereum network in 2025 have caused users to lose nearly $40 million] According to EigenPhi data, sandwich attacks on the Ethereum network in 2025 have caused users to lose nearly $40 million. Although the monthly trading volume on decentralized exchanges (DEXs) soared from $6.5 billion to over $10 billion, the scale of profits from attacks has dropped significantly.

Monthly sandwich attack profits fell from about $10 million at the end of 2024 to just $2.5 million in October 2025, while the attack frequency has remained high at 60,000 to 90,000 incidents per month.

Most notably, 38% of the attacks targeted low-volatility pools such as stablecoins and wrapped assets, and 12% targeted stablecoin swap pools—scenarios where slippage exceeded expectations, leading to particularly severe losses.

The average profit per sandwich attack was only $3, and in all of 2025, only six attackers accumulated profits exceeding $10,000.
