When this index is high, it means that altcoins have risen sharply compared to Bitcoin; When the index is low, all the funds run back to Bitcoin. Just like in December last year, when the index rose to 87, when altcoins simply went crazy, and now that the market has cooled down, everyone doesn't dare to mess around. HOWEVER, ALTCOINS ARE NOT ALL IMPOSSIBLE, IN THE PAST 3 MONTHS, THERE ARE STILL 24 COINS IN THE TOP 100 PROJECTS BY MARKET CAPITALIZATION THAT HAVE RISEN SHARPLY THAN BITCOIN, SUCH AS FARTCOIN, FORM, AND VIRTUAL, ALTHOUGH MANY PEOPLE HAVE NOT HEARD OF THEM, BUT IT SHOWS THAT THE MARKET IS DIFFERENTIATING, SOME COINS HAVE SECRETLY RISEN, AND SOME ARE STILL LYING ON THEIR STOMACHS. So don't think that altcoins can be chased casually when you see Bitcoin rising, and now it is a market dominated by Bitcoin.
Whether alts can rise depends on the presence of themes, popularity, and funding. Blindly buying with all funds can easily lead to being trapped. It may only be when the "altcoin season index" returns to above 50 that the real altcoin market has arrived.
Now you should either invest in new coins with clear themes (such as AI, L2, GameFi, etc.), or hold onto BTC or mainstream infrastructure coins (like sol, sui, link, uni, etc.), and not mess around.
