CFTC USA: New CEO of Consortium Blockchain from Mersinger
On May 14, information from The Block announced that U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission Commissioner (CFTC) Summer Mersinger will resign on May 30 and take over as CEO of the cryptocurrency industry lobbying organization Blockchain Association on June 2. During her tenure, Mersinger actively encouraged the CFTC to collaborate with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to develop a legal framework for cryptoassets.
